The need for energy resources and hydrocarbons in the world will grow.
The need for energy resources and hydrocarbons in the world will grow, so it is required to make timely investment decisions on projects in Russia, said the Russian President Vladimir Putin. On Wednesday, the President will launch the Kuyumba-Taishet, Zapolyarie-Purpe oil pipelines and the Bovanenkovo-Ukhta-2 gas pipeline via the videoconference.
"For Gazprom we have the decision made at the government level; the government decree was adopted in 2009. And for Transneft - in 2012. We are well aware of what is happening in the world energy markets, but for all it is obvious that the need for energy resources, of course, in our country in connection with the growth of the economy, and in the world will only grow. The need for hydrocarbon raw materials will grow as well. We have to make timely investment decisions to be ready to expand the market", Putin said at the ceremony of commissioning of the new gas and oil pipelines.
The President highlighted that "when planning further work, it is required to react in the most careful way not only to what is happening in the world energy markets, but also to look at the dynamics of the development of our own Russian economy".
"In order that we never have any restrictions on the growth of the economy due to some shortage of energy resources and related infrastructures", Vladimir Putin explained.
