Rosgeology reported on the successful completion of exploration of hydrocarbon deposits in the southern regions of Russia - ten promising sites were discovered with reserves of about 41.5 million tons of equivalent fuel.

Krasnodarneftegeofizika, a member of Rosgeologiya holding was engaged in exploration. The works were conducted in Krasnodar Krai and Rostov region, where the sites recommended by geologists will be prepared for licensing.

Rosgeology specialists analyzed and summarized the information obtained after drilling, seismic and electronic exploration. Recommendations on the best development of the new oil and gas fields were prepared. Pronedra previously reported that in 2016 Russian companies financed geological exploration activities for 295 billion rubles, that is, at the same level as in the previous year.
