Austrian oil and gas company transferred Euro 200 million for the Nord Stream-2
Austrian oil and gas company Österreichische Mineralölverwaltung AG transferred Euro 200 million for the Nord Stream-2 construction.
One of the leaders of the company, Rainer Seele, stated that it is too early to talk about the consequences of the sanctions imposed by the United States against Russia, but they certainly do not facilitate the process of financing the gas pipeline construction. He also expressed his hope that the financing of the Nord Stream-2 project will be according to the schedule. Supporters of the project are the countries which either invest in the gas pipeline through their strategic energy companies, or provide it with gas supply orders, or where companies receive revenues from the construction of the gas pipeline.
The planned length of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline is 1224 km. The carrying capacity of the two lines is 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year, which is 28.7% of the volume of Gazprom export in 2014. The Nord Stream-2 pipes internal diameter is 1 153 mm, wall thickness - 30.9 and 34.6 mm with a three-layer outer and inner anti-friction coating. SAWL 485 FD steel grade. Pipes are designed for operating pressure of up to 220 atm.
