At Energy Council meeting Russia and Japan will discuss cooperation in the energy sector and the export of hydrocarbons.
Russia and Japan will discuss cooperation in the fuel and energy sector, in particular, the export of Russian hydrocarbons in the framework of the third meeting of the Russian-Japanese Energy Advisory Council.
The meeting will be held with the participation of the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak and Japanese business representatives on April 21 in Tokyo. In 2016 Russia and Japan found the Energy Advisory Council. As the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation reported, following the results of the last, second meeting of the council held in January 2017, its key topics were the cooperation between the two countries in joint projects in the oil and gas, coal, nuclear sectors, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.
The meeting will be held in advance of the visit of the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to Russia, scheduled for the third decade of April, as the Russian Foreign Ministry reported previously.
