April 14 and 15, 2018, with the support of The Trading House "Siberian Industrial Holding" LLC and The Trading House "Siberian Industrial Group" LLC, which are included in the production holding "Siberian Industrial Group" JSC, at the track "Fortress Grozny" (Grozny) the 1st stage of the annual racing tournament SMP Russian Series of Ring Races (hereinafter SMP RSRR) started. The first stage of the SMP RSRR took place in several qualifications: TURING (Russian Championship), SUPER-PRODUCTION (Cup of Russia), NATIONAL (Cup of Russia), TURING-LIGHT (Russian Championship), NATIONAL JUNIOR.

Judges allowed 70 pilots in 5 test groups to compete. Participants in the classes of Super-Production and Touring-Light started in joint races. Pilots of the Touring-Light class in these races held behind the leaders of the Super-Production class, but actively fought for victory in their standings. The decoration of the weekend was the race of the Touring class. 17 magnificent cars of the international category TCR both went to the start - and gave the audience a fantastic spectacle. Racing of the National class impressed no less. In the National Wrestling Championship, at National Junior Competition Irina Sidorkova (Volkswagen Polo, Rally Academy) felt more comfortable than other participants. Young pilotess from Karelia spent the winter at the wheel of a racing car, so she was uncontrollable in the debut race of the ring season and was able to break into the first place. The fate of the first awards in the championship and the Cup of Russia was decided in eight spectacular races.
