On October 3 – 6 the Anticorrosive coating for pipes consortium was held in Sergiev Posad.

The regular event was held in Sergiev Posad continuing tradition of the Consortium ACPC seminars, which are aimed to study the current issues and trends in pipe consumers behavior, as well as to study new proposals of abrasives, equipment and materials manufacturers.

The following companies took part in the seminar: JSC VNIIST, OJSC MTZK, Truboplast LLC, JSC SIG, PJSC Khartsyzsk Tube Works, OJSC ChTPZ, Gazprom VNIIGAZ and others.

Many topical issues were touched upon at the conference, such as increasing the productivity of pipe outside coating lines and current methods of weld joints painting with low-temperature powder paints. For example, the participants concluded that using of low-temperature paints results in significant reduction of energy costs, as well as in increase of productivity due to the faster pipe heating. During the final days of the conference another relevant topics were addressed: analysis of deviations in production, the concept of internal shot blasting for LDP and others.
