As part of the further development of the Vankor field, TVEL-Tobolsk continues shipping finished products for the Rosneft oil company. Pipes in polyurethane foam insulation in various types of waterproofing shell (polyethylene, of galvanized steel) of various diameters from 530 to 720 mm are products of increased complexity if compared to the conventional pipes with polyurethane foam insulation. These pipelines are designed for oil transportation and are structurally different from the conventional heat pipe by the increased heat-insulating layer, pipes completing with electric heating system (the so-called skin system, in this case with two heat-tracings attached to the supporting pipe), and with applying special external anti-corrosion powder coating on the pipe.
Several years ago a large experience in pipe manufacturing with factory heat-insulation allowed JSC TVEL-Tobolsk entering the market of oil and gas pipes in the West Siberian region. The decision to modernize the plant was made in St. Petersburg after several orders completion, including for NK Rosneft (insulating semi-shells for isulation of d 820 mm pipeline, Vankor Field), PJSC Gazpromneft (pipeline with factory insulation of d 720/900 mm)
Essential is the fact that the project was unlikely to take place outside the framework of the Long-Term Targeted Program "Development of Industry, Investment and Foreign Economic Activity of Tyumen Region" adopted in 2011 and with the active support of the Department for Investment Policy and State Support for Entrepreneurship in Tyumen Region, as well as the West Siberian Regional branch of CJSC Sberbank Leasing. This undeniably important event corresponds to the vector of further development of the Tyumen region infrastructure and industry, creation of new jobs and modernization.
